Thomas Jefferson explained to Supreme Court Justice William Johnson, June 12, 1823: “On every question of construction, carry ourselves back to the time when the Constitution was adopted, recollect the spirit manifested in the debates, and instead of trying what meaning may be squeezed out of the text, or invented against it, conform to the probable one in which it was passed.”
Editor’s Note: This website is maintained with no funding and must rely on the free hosting of the good folks at WordPress. Unfortunately, I am unable to control the ads that they serve on their network. I strongly suspect that many pro-Muslim ads are being aired on this blog of mine, and I would like to say a word about these ads: taqiyya.
What is “Taqiyya?”
Taqiyya is basically a principle in Islam that allows lying to infidels. Yes, you heard that a right: a “good” observant Muslim is allowed and even expected to lie in order to defend his faith, advance his faith, or protect himself.
Here’s an excert from Wikipedia: Taqiya (تقیة taqiyyah/taqīyah, literally “prudence, fear, caution”) is an Islamic term referring to precautionary dissimulation or denial of religious belief and practice.
Al-Tabari comments on sura XVI, verse 106 (Tafsir, Bulak 1323, xxiv, 122): “If any one is compelled and professes unbelief with his tongue, while his heart contradicts him, in order to escape his enemies, no blame falls on him, because God takes his servants as their hearts believe.”
In other words, a “good” Muslim can pretend they are not an “extremist” (code for observant), or even pretend that they are of another faith altogether in order to help the Muslim agenda flourish.
So if you find yourself curious about these “feel sorry for the persecuted Muslims” ads, just remember, before you click on the ads: Muslims lie. They are allowed to lie.
This seems surprising to most Christians who, while they don’t believe in the Muslim faith, do think that Muslims have a certain set of moral codes they live by. Such as, not bearing false witness. And that is true: Muslims are taught to be honest UNLESS telling a lie would advance their cause. Please keep that in mind when you check out their nice little “won’t you be my neighbor” sites.
