Firearms expert to Hillary: Heller case wasn’t about ‘toddlers’

Larry Prat, Executive Director of Gun Owners of America, responded.

“Heller made no reference to toddlers. Toddlers were not really the problem. Heller was addressing the fact that your safety, your gun was locked up and unavailable for self-defense and that the District of Columbia couldn’t require that anymore, nor could they ban whole classes of guns, which in effect they had done,” said Pratt.

Pratt also referenced Hillary’s stand on late-term abortions, comparing the two concerns:

“Hillary Clinton is worried about toddlers when she is okay, as Donald Trump in the same debate pointed out, she’s okay pulling a baby out of the womb an hour before it’s born and tearing it apart. So her concern about toddlers strikes me as somewhat academic.”

Various readers took to social media, expressing their views.

I am appalled by people leaving firearms accessible to children. I have no argument with that concern. However, we do not lock up dangerous carving knives or paring knives nor do we lock up scissors or hatchets and other sharp tools. All are potential weapons” —Jerry Bransons

I love how the left trots out their jive about background checks, and ‘common sense’ limitations. THERE ALREADY ARE BACKGROUND CHECKS!!! She knows what she’s saying is dishonest. But to the left, the end justifies the means, and if you have to lie, oh, well.–NoelH

avatar92       If you follow the rules of gun safety, there would never be a problem with ‘accidental’ shootings. There would only be defensive and criminal use.
